Storybook Baby Blanket     

What child wouldn't delight in their very own blanket with a story woven right into it!

This 10-shaft, 10-treadle, Summer & Winter weave tells the story of a "Cornish Floral Dance" performed each May 8th in the Cornish Village of Helston. On that day the church bells ring, and to the sound of traditional music the men and women dance through the houses and gardens of the village.

Here we have the men, women, houses and garden motifs depicted in this child's heirloom blanket, celebrating centuries old rites of spring.

Woven in our popular 8/2 Aurora Earth(warp and tabby) and Peaches & Cream Variegated (weft).

You will need a 10-shaft, 10-treadle, 42" wide loom. Finished size 34.5" wide by 60" long plus 4.5" fringe on each end.

Available only in pastel baby colors shown.
