It's Not Overshot! Inspiration
These gorgeous towels were inspired by "Jitterbug", a Bertha Gray Hayes overshot design that captured Sarah's attention every time she saw it. Intrigued by the complex-looking design she was tempted to weave it, but the overshot structure seemed somewhat limiting for the set of towels Sarah had in mind.

A Study in Turned Taqueté
An article by Bonnie Inouye describing how a Turned Taqueté draft can be developed by interleaving an overshot threading with a second threading on opposites provided the solution. Voilà! Converting the draft from overshot to Turned Taqueté not only solved the problem with weft floats that are intrinsic to overshot, but the parallel threading allowed for a two-color weft which expanded the possibilities of combining a wide variety of weft colors.

Weave Six Different Color Combinations!
Sampling proved very interesting as Sarah discovered how the weft color combinations could push the overall effect in either a warm or cool direction. This yarn pack provides all the colors you need to weave six different color combinations: 3 warm and 3 cool combinations.
