What is "Seed Cotton" and why would you want to spin with it?
This seed cotton is the cotton fiber that has been picked by hand from the plant. The fiber is still attached to the seed. This seed cotton has NOT been ginned and it's packed full of cotton seeds.
Hand spinners love to spin from Seed Cotton because the fibers are longer and more continuous, since they haven't been torn apart when the fiber is usually separated from the seed in the ginning process.
