Asymmetrical Challenge Scarf

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave this Asymmetrical Challenge Scarf that was designed by Jennifer Sargent and featured on the cover of Handwoven November/December 2022 .

The colors and patterns of this scarf are fascinating! This simple, symmetrical woven structure is made visually more complex with the design of an asymmetrical color arrangement.

Weave structure:  twill and mock leno

Yarns: 8/2 Tencel and 20/2 Perle Cotton
Note: The 20/2 perle cotton in color Melon has been replaced with 20/2 perle cotton in color Tangerine for this kit.

Equipment needed: 8-shaft loom; 11" weaving width; 15 dent reed; 2 shuttles

Finished size:  one scarf 9 1/4" x 71" plus 6" fringe
