Bordering on Perfect Weave-Along Kit

Cotton Clouds is excited to once again collaborate with Liz Gipson of YarnworkerU for the Bordering on Perfect Weave-Along! This beautiful towel project combines the relaxing rhythm of plain weave with the excitement of adding texture and pattern using pick-up techniques.

These towels are woven with buttery soft organically grown cottons in rich natural shades inspired by the beauty of nature. The original colorway features shades of brown, light green, and dark green naturally colored cottons. Because naturally grown fibers can vary from crop to crop, this year’s dark green yarn had very little contrast with the lighter green. As a result, we created an alternate colorway using dark brown as the main color with light brown and light green accents for added contrast.

This weave-along is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence with pick-up patterns while also learning tips for weaving multiple towels that turn out the same size with matching design placement.

Visit YarnworkerU.com to join the weave-along and weave these beautiful towels together with Liz and the Yarnworker community!

Skill Level

This weave-along is suitable for adventurous beginners who have completed a project or two using direct warping and have a basic understanding of weaving terminology. Whether you decide to weave along, swatch along, or simply watch along, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and ask questions throughout the process.
