Brown Bag Lunch Set
If you love introducing your handwovens into every corner of daily life, especially to replace disposable products such as paper napkins or bags, then this is the perfect weaving project for you!
You will also feel good that these organic cottons are sustainably grown, without the use of harsh chemicals, pesticides, or fertilizers, cotton yarn comes straight from American cotton fields to you!
This project was designed by Elisabeth Hill and is featured in Easy Weaving with Little Looms Spring 2025.
Weave Structure: plain weave and half basketweave.
Yarns: Organic 8/2 Cottons: choose either browns or greens.
Natural/Light Green/Dark Green or Natural/Light Brown/Dark Brown.
Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 20” weaving width; both 12 and 15 dent reeds; pick-up stick; 2 stick shuttles.
Other supplies needed: a pair of lease sticks, matching sewing thread, fabric wax, velcro, 1 yard of cotton fabric for lining (optional); paper for bag patterns.
Finished Dimensions: two napkins 17" x 17" hemmed and one bag 7" x 10 1/2" x 4 1/2".
