If you like the fineness of 4-shaft patterns, but love the ease of rigid heddles, this is the pattern for you!
These towels are woven with 8/2 cotton with two reeds and a single pick-up stick. They have a light delicate feel…but as we all know, no hand-woven woven towel is truly delicate. These towels are meant to be used!
Using 2 heddles to achieve a sett of 20 ends per inch, this project will guide you through the full process from warping, to threading, inserting the pick-up stick and finishing your towels. The result: two beautiful and unique towels that are as fun to weave as they are useful!
*Note: this is NOT a beginner project: weavers should have previous experience weaving with 2 heddles!
