Classic Check Table Topper or Towels
The Classic Check design is a timeless woven pattern that fits beautifully into everyday living. Woven with Aurora Earth Cottons, this project creates a traditional checkered design in a soft, absorbent fabric—perfect for a table topper or functional yet beautiful towels.
Designed for both rigid heddle and 4-shaft weavers, each kit includes all the yarn needed to complete either a table topper or set of towels. The pattern will guide you through each step, from warping your loom to finishing. The Classic Check Table Topper kit includes the bias tape for a beautifully finished table accent.
The simple structure makes this an approachable project while still offering the satisfaction of creating something both practical and visually striking.

Weave structure: plain weave
Equipment needed:
- Rigid Heddle or 4-shaft loom
- 12 or 12.5 dent reed (24-25 epi)
- 22" weaving width
- 2-3 shuttles
- 1" bias tape for table topper (included in table topper kit)
- matching sewing thread
