Christmas Mints Towels
These Christmas Mint Towels were designed by Tammy Bast, The Rogue Weaver.
Sometimes the best designs come from an unexpected surprise! These towels began with one plan, but the finished fabric revealed something even better. The reverse side developed a delightful pattern reminiscent of starlight mints, those familiar red, green, and white candies that always bring Christmas to mind. Rather than hide that happy discovery, the design was flipped at hemming, and the reverse became the right side!
Woven in red, green, and white Aurora Earth 8/2 Cotton, these towels bring a cheerful touch of Christmas to the kitchen.
This is for rigid heddle weavers and uses two pick-up sticks, or one pick-up stick and a heddle rod with string heddles. You can choose the setup you prefer, and with very little counting required, the weaving is easier than expected.
This kit includes the yarns needed to weave your own Christmas Mint Towels. The pattern is sold separately and available at therogueweaver.com.
