Overshot Baby Blanket

This weaving kit includes all the yarns you need to create the cozy and charming blanket designed by Susan Kesler-Simpson, featured in her book Overshot Simply.

Soft, warm, and woven with love, this blanket will make the perfect gift for an expectant baby—or for anyone who enjoys snuggling up with something handmade and extra soft.

Included are 100% cotton yarns, in a colorful 8/2 Variegated Cotton and a wonderfully soft Organic 5/3 Cotton. These natural fibers are gentle on sensitive skin and offer a beautiful, breathable finish, perfect for a baby blanket or a cuddly throw.

We’re offering this kit in three lovely colorways: Blue Lake, Cotton Candy, and Sapphire—each chosen to highlight the timeless beauty of overshot weaving.

Weave Structure: overshot

Yarns: 8/2 Variegated Cotton and Organic 5/3 Cotton

Note:  the Ric Rac rayon in the original pattern is no longer available. This kit includes Organic 5/3 Cotton in natural as a substitution.

Equipment needed: 4-shaft loom; 35" weaving width; 10 dent reed; 2 shuttles

Finished Dimensions: one blanket 34" x 50"
