Cow Towels
Designed by Susan Kessler Simpson and featured in The Magic of Summer and Winter Weaving.
Bring a little farmyard charm to your loom with these fun Cow Towels! This kit lets you weave two different looks: one towel features brown and white cows inspired by Guernsey cattle, while the second uses classic black and white coloring for a Holstein look.
It’s fun to see how simply changing the colors gives the same design a completely different personality. A playful project for anyone who loves cows and country life.
Weave Structure: summer and winter
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons natural, dark green, chocolate, black, peach, white, and beauty rose.
Equipment needed: 8-shaft loom; 17” weaving width; 10-dent reed; 2 shuttles; several bobbins.
Finished Dimensions: hemmed towels 17" x 24".
