Fishing for Compliments Towels
This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Fishing for Compliments Towels that were designed by Sherrie Amada Miller for Handwoven Sept/Oct 2021 pages 62-64.
These towels were inspired by memories of a trip to Aruba, where Sherrie snorkeled for the first time among a rainbow of colored fish.
She chose 8/2 cotton for the pattern and tabby weft, although traditionally, summer-and-winter designs are woven with a pattern weft that is heavier than the warp.
Weave Structure: Summer & Winter
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 100% unmercerized cotton. (We have made close substitutions for the 8/2 colors in this kit with our Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons)
Equipment needed: 8-shaft loom; 20" weaving width; 10-dent reed; 2 shuttles; 5 bobbins
Finished size: four towels 16½" × 21½" each (two blue and two white)
Instructions needed: Handwoven Sept/Oct 2021 magazine from Long Thread Media Purchased separately.
Note: This kit includes all yarns needed to weave these towels. The pattern can be found in the Handwoven magazine noted above. You will need to purchase this magazine if you don't already own a copy.

I love this pattern, and I love this yarn. Kits from Cotton Clouds are wonderful. They have such awesome colors, always more than enough yarn, and a great variety of kit options. One of my favorite weaving shops!
