Inspired by Sherrie’s unforgettable snorkeling adventure in Aruba, where she swam among vibrant schools of fish, these towels capture the beauty of that underwater world.
Sherrie selected 8/2 cotton for both the pattern and tabby weft, offering a fresh take on the traditional summer-and-winter weave structure. While the design typically uses a heavier pattern weft, Sherrie’s choice of cotton gives it a lighter, modern twist—perfect for a piece that’s both functional and full of color!
Each kit includes all the yarns you’ll need to bring this beautiful design to life, so you can
weave your own set of these fun fish towels!
Weave Structure: Summer & Winter
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons. (We have made close substitutions for the colors in this kit with our Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons.)
Equipment needed: 8-shaft loom; 20" weaving width; 10-dent reed; 2 shuttles; 5 bobbins.
Finished size: four towels 16½" × 21½" each (two blue and two white)
