Bring bold beauty and cultural tradition into your home with this Ukrainian-inspired towel kit. Woven in striking black, lipstick red, and bright yellow, these towels pay homage to the vibrant folk costumes of rural southeastern Europe.

Textile artist Suzie Liles was inspired by the intricately woven aprons worn by Ukrainian girls—garments that reflected generations of skill, pride, and artistry. From a young age, these girls dedicated their days to weaving and sewing, creating heirloom pieces full of meaning and identity.

Now, you can carry on that spirit of craftsmanship in your own weaving. Whether displayed in your kitchen or gifted to someone special, these towels are a beautiful reminder of the joy found in handmade tradition.

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Folk Art Towels that were designed by Suzie Liles for Handwoven Mar/Apr 2014.
