This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Herringbone Twill Towels that were designed by Ardis Arahood for Handwoven's Winning Towels of the 21st Century Contest, pages 17–18.

The inspiration for these towels came from a vintage piece of Fiesta-ware pottery.

This pattern is an enlarged version of a herringbone-twill plaid from A Handweaver's Pattern Book by Marguerite Porter Davison.

Yarns Aurora Earth 8/2 cotton (original design was woven in Cottolin)

Equipment needed: 4-shaft loom, 10 dent reed; 20" weaving width; 10-dent reed; 4 shuttles

Finished size: four towels 16.5" x 24" each
