Huck Lace Pottery Inspired Placemats

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Huck Lace Pottery Inspired Placemats that were designed by Rosanne White for Long Thread Media.

Adding turquoise (a sacred color for the Navajo) to the black, white, and dark red of Native American pottery creates a powerful and timeless color palette.

We love Native American pots and never tire of looking at them. Seeing them as inspiration coincides with the exploration of huck lace in this set of woven placemats.

Fabric description: Huck lace

Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 cotton

Equipment needed: 8-shaft loom, 14" weaving width; 10-dent reed; 4 shuttles (or 2 shuttles, 4 bobbins).

Finished dimensions: four hemmed placemats 11 1⁄2" × 15" each
