This beautiful scarf is inspired by the classic 4-shaft M’s and O’s pattern, thoughtfully adapted to use just three shafts—hence the “lowercase” name. Don’t let that fool you—there’s nothing subtle about the striking pattern or the incredible drape this design creates.

Designed by Michele Marshall of Mingo’s Corner, this project has been specially adapted for rigid heddle weavers using two heddles, making it a rewarding way to explore more advanced patterning on your loom.

Woven with Bambu 7, this scarf has a smooth, rayon-like texture and a soft, fluid drape that feels wonderful against the skin. Made from bamboo—a renewable resource grown without pesticides or fertilizers—this yarn offers both beauty and sustainability.

The result is an elegant, lightweight scarf with eye-catching texture and movement—one you’ll reach for again and again.
