1st: I love the cotton yarns

1st: I love the cotton yarns. So much that I took advantage of the sales and ordered sufficient selections to do several more patterns, as well as ordering more patterns and am looking for today's delivery. :) I'll probably be back, even though I usually weave with wools.

2nd: the kit provided way more yarn than needed -- except for the light green, of which I still had leftover, but I have way, way more leftovers of the other colors -- so I anticipate dreaming up a few other uses using my own designs.

3rd: The pattern

Finally, though I have been weaving cotton towels for a few years now, this was my first time using a pattern. This was the first time I've had to concentrate on my PPI, which forced some growth to that level of consciousness, but also distracted my attention from other aspects of the process. Not really a negative, let's say a "neutral."

Personally, I find it easier to use a draft or threading diagram with the colors indicated in the kit illustration, for both warping and sleying, even if I plan to substitute colors or mix and match. For some reason it helps me understand the design better.

Finally, the customer service was exemplary. It seems that this supplier has the product shipped the minute they receive the order. And when I had questions about the pattern, not only did I get a quick response, but a gift for helping them improve the pattern description.

Suffice to say I love this supplier and recommend it to anyone who uses cotton yarns, even if they are not weavers.

challenging warping

The pattern is beautiful but I had a hard time warping because of the reverse sequence. It confused me. I often lost count of threads doing the reversal. I also found a thread count error (unless the error is mine!). I came up with Mallo 1: 56, Mallo 2: 32, Mallo 3: 30, Mallo 4: 48. Total ends: 166. Yours was 154. I placed your threading chart in Excel which is where I discovered the discrepancy. I'd be happy to send it to you if desired. Let me say that I really like your patterns and plan to purchased many more of your kits. I favor yours above the many others available. Your photos of patterns inspire me. Your website is excellent.
