This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Ozark Quilter Towels that were designed by Marty Benson and Janet Giardina for Handwoven, Mar/Apr 2016.

The Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild spent several months studying the handwoven fabrics from the Ozarks in the 1800s and was inspired by a collection of quilts from the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

Marty Benson along with Janet Giardina designed these Ozark Quilter Towels from this very collection of quilts.

This kit supplies you with the yarns needed to make 9 hemmed towels!

Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons.

Equipment needed: 4-shaft loom, 21" weaving width, 10 dent reed, 1 shuttle and bobbin.

Instructions needed: Handwoven March/April 2016 available from Long Thread Media for complete instructions. Note: There is a mistake in the tie-up in this pattern.  The tie-up pattern reads 1,2; 2,3; 1,3,4; 1,4. It should read 1,2; 2,3; 3,4; 1,4.
