Weaving Perfect Stripes: A Creative Journey with Aurora Earth Cotton

January 2025 Weaving Challenge Project

Weave a set of Perfectly Striped Towels while exploring the "Art of Contrast" by combining seven different colors in your warp. The use of multiple colors can make your weaving feel dynamic and vibrant while still maintaining a harmonious overall look.

These towels celebrate the balance between light and dark, smooth and textured, bold and subtle. You will also be weaving in two different weave structures, plain weave, and fun texture weave sequence. You can enjoy weaving this project on either a rigid heddle or multi shaft loom.

There are two kit options for this weaving project: Daylight or Nightfall. Choose one, or weave both sets to enjoy the full spectrum of possibilities.

Choose Daylight to weave a set of two towels that lets the colors of the stripes really pop. The natural weft creates a soft, earthy feel, ideal for those who prefer a subtle look that still packs visual interest.

Choose Nightfall which provides a striking contrast to the colorful stripes, giving the towels a bold, modern look. The navy weft also adds a sense of richness, making this set feel both sophisticated and dramatic.
