Red Riding Hood's Bread Cloth
This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave this Red Riding Hood's Bread Cloth that was designed by Tammy Bast for Easy Weaving with Little Looms Winter 2023.
Every bread basket needs a pretty and functional liner, and this one of traditional gingham paired with alternating blocks of waffle weave is sure to please. Use it to protect your basket, whether you’re serving dinner or bringing goodies to granny.
Weave structure: Plain weave and waffle weave
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons, Bright Red and Bleach White.
Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 28" weaving width; 12.5 (or 12) dent reed; four pick-up sticks; 3 shuttles. (this pattern can easily be adjusted to fit smaller weaving widths by taking out as many repeats as needed in the warp.)
Finished size: 22½" × 21½" hemmed
