Serendipity Waffle Weave Towels
This kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Serendipity Waffle Weave Towels that were designed by Connie Westbrook for Handwoven Sept/Oct 2009.
Are you ready to weave in color! Mixing colors are what makes weaving so much fun! These Serendipity Waffle Weave Towels are just the thing to get your fix.
Random warps look wonderful in plain weave and the results are always a surprise, but random warps can be even more effective with the varying float lengths of waffle weave.
Yarns for 4-shaft kit: Aurora Earth 8/2 cotton in beige, dark green, natural, rust, navy blue, and wine.
Yarns for 8-shaft kit: Aurora Earth 8/2 cotton in natural, rust, dark green, turk, and beige.
(special order colors are available upon request.)
Equipment needed: 4 or 8-shaft loom; 20" weaving width; 12 dent reed; 1 shuttle for the 8-shaft version, 6 shuttles for the 4-shaft version.
Finished dimensions: Four towels 16" x 22" hemmed for the 4-shaft version. Four towels 15 3/4 x 20 1/2" hemmed for 8-shaft towels.
