Start Caution Stop & Finish Towels

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these towels that were designed by Tom Knisely for Long Thread Media.

These towels will be a welcome and novel addition to the bathroom of any auto enthusiast. Quick and easy to weave in twill and plain weave.

The green start flag, yellow caution flag, and red stop flag towels feature twill tire-track borders. The checkered flag towels signal the finish of the day.

Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons in bright, lively colors!

Weave structure: The rosepath twill gives texture to these towels, and the black point-twill border resembles tire tracks.

Equipment needed: 4 shaft loom; 20” weaving width; 10 dent reed; 1-2 shuttles

Finished sizes: eight towels; two red, green, and yellow towels, 16 1/2" × 31" each, and two checkered towels, 18 1/4" × 36 1/2" each.

Instructions needed: Handwoven's Design Collection #18: A Treasury of Towels available from Long Thread Media for warping and weaving instructions.
