Summer Celebration Placemats/Runners
This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Summer Celebration Placemats or Runners that were designed for our June Weaving Challenge: Crammed Warp Structure Weaving.
Weave a set of summer placemats, perfect for a 4th of July picnic, summer barbecue, weekend brunch, or as a holiday runner to decorate your table.
Use the drop-down menu to choose our "4th of July" colorway or "Choose Your Own" colorway to weave a set in your favorite colors!
Please specify your color choices of Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons in the comment box of the shopping cart if choosing your own colors. You can choose two stripe colors and a third color for the accent stripes and weft. I suggest using either white or natural for the accent stripes and weft so that the stripes really stand out.
Weave structure: plain weave
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons
Equipment needed: Rigid Heddle Loom (2-shaft); 15.1” weaving width; 10 dent reed; 1 shuttle.
This pattern can be adjusted to fit all sizes of looms. Order two kits to make a wider width.
Finished Dimensions: 4 placemats 12” x 18” hemmed or 2 runners 12” x 36” hemmed. You can adjust the length of your runners to fit your table size.
