Create a beautiful handwoven apron and matching towel for your kitchen. In this project, you’ll weave the fabric yourself and then sew the apron from your finished handwoven cloth, making it a truly special handmade piece.

The coordinating towel completes the set, giving you practical cotton kitchen textiles that are both beautiful and functional.

Designed by Michele Marshall of Mingo's Corner Shop, and featured in Easy Weaving with Little Looms Summer 2026.

Weave structure: plain weave

Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 24” weaving width; 10 dent heddle; 7 shuttles.

Yarns: For apron, Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons in chocolate, lipstick, rust, light brown, beige, and yellow. Yarns for Apron strings, 8/4 Cotton dark brown, gold, cardinal, burnt orange, and coffee.

Finished size: One apron 20" x 29" + one towel 20" x 28.5" hemmed.
