Surprise Twill Towels
This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Surprise Twill Towels that were designed by Tammy Bast at The Rogue Weaver.
These towels combine stripes and texture. Once these towels come off the loom and are washed and dried, a delightful "bird's eye twill" appears!
This is not a beginner pattern, however if you have some experience with pick-up sticks, you should be ready to tackle this project. The pattern includes video links to help with string heddles.
Weave structure: texture weave
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cotton. The kits include six coordinating colors in either Autumn Bounty or Relaxing Summer.
Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 24” weaving width, 10 dent reed, 2 shuttles, 2 pick-up sticks and (optionally) 65 string heddles.
Finished size: two towels approximately 18” x 28
