Warped Weavers Tartan Towels

The Warped Weavers group at Acton Creative has an official tartan color combo, and we couldn’t resist turning it into a ready-to-weave towel kit using Aurora Earth yarns.

Weave structure: plain weave

Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 Cottons grape, antique gold, wine, natural, dark green, and periwinkle. (extra yardage included to weave either two plaid towels or one plaid and one striped)

Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 23.4” weaving width; 10-dent heddle; up to 6 shuttles.

Finished size: two hemmed towels 19 ½” wide x 29” long.
