Winter Lichen Towels
Gray-green lichen against a tree trunk wet with melting snow was the image that inspired the colors in these wintery towels.
A twill color-and-weave-effect border frames a design of sage green windowpanes outlined in white and warm gray.
This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these towels that were designed by Jean Scorgie for Handwoven Jan/Feb 1994.
Weave structure: Color-and-weave-effect 2/2 twill
Equipment needed: 4-shaft loom; 10-dent reed; 17" weaving width.
Yarns: Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons; Nile Green, Charcoal and Bleach White. *Colors in picture came out looking lavender but there is no lavender included.
Finished size: four hemmed towels 14 3/4" x 24 1/2"
