Bon Appétit Towels by Bonnie Tarses

This weaving kit includes all the yarns needed to weave these Bon Appétit Towels that were designed by Bonnie Tarses.  

We are happy to share Bonnie's newest design with you all!  Her spirit of color inspiration blooms in these bright, cheerful towels.

Bonnie Tarses specializes in one-of-a-kind and custom handwoven designs and is famous for her horoscope weavings, Bonnie developed several techniques that have become her trademarks—Color Horoscope Weaving, Woven Words, and Turned-Weft Ikat (a twist on a traditional theme).  

Bon appétit is a way of telling someone to enjoy what they are about to eat, but with this weaving project, we want you to enjoy a fantastic adventure in color play! By changing the weft colors throughout each towel you will be able to weave a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Weave structure: plain weave or straight twill

Yarns: 8/2 Aurora Earth and 8/2 Variegated 100% cottons. You will receive 8 solid and 1 variegated colors that will be used for both warp & weft.  So many colors to play with!

Equipment needed: 4-shaft or rigid heddle loom; 19.8” weaving width; 10 dent reed; 1 shuttle; 9 bobbins

Finished size: four towels approximately 18” x 30” each or weave as a shawl 18" x 120"

Instructions: included with kit

 ***This yarn pack includes 8 solid colors and 1 variegated color.  You will be able to weave each towel with different weft colors so that each one will be unique and one-of-a-kind.  Extra yardage is included for so many possibilities!
