Plaid Chenille Scarf
This weaving kit includes all the chenille yarns needed to weave this Plaid Chenille Scarf that was designed by Ellen Hess for Long Thread Media.
Take advantage of the especially stunning effects that can be achieved when weaving with variegated chenille. Sections of solid black chenille are patterned with warp and weft stripes of a stunning variegated mix.
Fabric description: plain weave
Yarns: Chenille Variegated Kenya and Chenille Solid Black
Finished size: one plaid scarf 10½" by 63" plus 3" fringe at each end
Equipment needed: rigid heddle loom; 12 dent reed; 11" weaving width
Instructions needed: Best of Handwoven Rigid Heddle Technique and Pattern Book #2 from Long Thread Media.
Note: There is a mistake in the total number of black chenille ends in the pattern. It should be 91 ends black instead of 81 for a total of 127 ends.
